Waking The Country Up
This article is just to all those who think have faced an experience or an act of terror with their children or themselves being a child.
Just not even ten days ago, the Chief Minister of Orissa visited a small town named J. K.Pur , an industrial town on the paper industry based township of J.K.Paper mills , and on the same day the director of the mills had also been there to visit the mills. So as expected , the security should have been of the highest order, considering the level of the personnel on visit.
Speaking a little about the town, this was one of the most silent and to be considered the safest places all over India . A very silent town and amidst being in nuxel areas like Koraput and Rayagada, this was safe spot or more true to character a safe house, if to be considered
Very rare was that there would be a big quarrel other than occasional burglars, which itself was considered the biggest form of crime in the town
“Visits like those were common to the people but some terrible was in writing”
Most possibly nothing wrong could have happened other than delayed arrivals.
But there was a lot more than worse about to happen
Most of us would have expected that the town would have been a really messy and loud place but safe in all other ways. But for a small family it turned other wise . In the same colony, a girl, 12 years of age was living as her father worked there, and even his brother in law worked there, he being there for the last 15 yrs and the latter for more than 26 yrs now. This was a small family of four and the girl used to visit her aunt’s house regularly, along with her younger sister, a cute girl of 4 yrs.
Her father, a supervisor in the mills had gone out to vishakapatnam. He had called home to inform that he would come by a train other than informed, 1 that would be coming after 4 hrs, so she headed towards her aunt’s house at four in the evening , on the way she had to cross a sewer.
She had come there without her sister , and after making a call from there to inform in the transport to pick her father up, she left.
Everything was normal.
Two hrs. later, her mother came to aunts house, when the latter enquired where is the girl, she replied that she had come only to collect her, There was a park around the corner and they thought she might have gone there after meeting a friend and would return by seven.
It turned up late and she didn’t return, her father on the ways got a call, it was from his daughter, where was she?????
There we enter the most horrible part of the truth, she was in a train and called to say the she had been kidnapped and the kidnappers had left her in the train and told not to move, she tried after a long gathering her courage and asking the phone of a person who looked good enough to trust.
Lets now begin on what actually the deadly truth was-
She was actually on her way back, near the sewer just 50 mts from her aunt’s house and a further 50 from her own that on the way, a quiet for no reason at that time on the day, four guys with faces covered with masks entered the place and stopped close to her and forced her to move, terrifying her with a knife and telling her that if tried to be clever they would kill her by injecting her with H1N1 virus, that was enough a scare a 12 yr old girl to follow, they made her walk a kilometer to the railway station , warnig they would kill her if she would lift her head and maintained a healthy gap to avoid suspicion.
It perfectly timed one, the exact time the train Sambaleshwari had entered the platform of Singapur Rd., a very small and lonely place.
They held her till the train sped up and pushed her in the train and warned her if she tried to move, they would kill her.
The girld clever by her wits, caught the kdinappers dropping off the train from the corner of her eye, but in terror she didn’t dare to move.
The Train driver had noticed all this drama from the cabin and after a while came up to the girl and asked about if anything was wrong.
But the girl was in too much of fright to answer, she confirmed that everything was alright, and the driver went back. But her suspected that something did not fit in and there was something fishy in the matter.
In the meanwhile the girl had called her father from the phone of a woman who did up and down daily and informed about all this drama.
Then after some time the driver sure that something was not right, came back and demanded of her to say the truth and yelled at her, somewhat gathering her composure, she told everything to him, the driver understood the problem and took her with him and told her to lock herself in the cabin and that he would drop her on the return trip the next day. The girl followed but out of fright couldn’t lock them properly, but luckily nothinghappened then.
Just then after two hrs. she had been looking out of the window and then in a small station of Muniguda, another small place where to her horror she found out that 4 other guys of around the same age, i.e of the ones that had earlier picked her up in the same masks covering their faces, were searching each and every compartment .
Surely for her, it was but luckily due to the driver, she had a lucky escape and she was dropped off in Damanjodi railway station and taken to the local police station. And then her parents were informed of this and her uncle and father started right of then at 12 midnight. By the time, some of the parents friends in the town of Damanjodi had been informed and they took the girl, fed her and sheltered her. By the time her father and uncle reached the place she was sleeping and they took her and returned.
She was in deep mental shock and at her aunt’s house for a week and only then did she start going back to school. Now her father has decided not to keep her in the same place and to move her to her grandmother’s the next year.
The only reason of my mentioning all this was not to make a goodm site count, this is only for those who have been through similar horrors and want to raise a collective voice against the sleeping security forces to make this one count.
Please join hands in the fight against all sorts of crimes involving all such young children
